We’re excited to announce the Montclair History Center is one of 50 grant recipients from the Preserve New Jersey Historic Preservation Fund, a grant dedicated to funding “worthy historic preservation construction and planning projects throughout the state.”
The funds will go towards a site plan for 108-110 Orange Road to make the site accessible to all. The new site plan will link the Crane House and Historic YWCA, the Clark House, the Nathaniel Crane House, the Montclair Community Farm, and the Landsberger Learning Gardens with ADA-appropriate surfaces. It will provide access to the two buildings that are not currently accessible, and incorporate appropriate lighting and signage.
The project includes the services of the architectural and engineering firms from concept through final approval to begin construction. We’re excited to be working with Paul Sionas, AIA, of Sionas Architecture on this project!
