The Native Sunflower: Workshop and Watercolor

In-Person Event.

During this workshop, you will gain knowledge of the native sunflower’s historic importance in the garden, its believed medicinal properties, and the basic structural features of the flower as you create a beautiful watercolor. Basic watercolor techniques will be covered. All skill levels—beginners to advanced-are welcome! All materials will be supplied. Lead by Susanne Costa, Manager of Education, and Diane Israel, Artist and Manager of Audience Engagement.

$35/participant; $30 for members of the Montclair History Center.

This event will be held outdoors, in a socially-distant setting, and under the guidelines of the state. We ask that all participants wear face-masks for this event. If there is inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors, in a socially-distant setting.
