Purple/Black Heirloom. Heirloom beefsteak tomato prized for its rich, complex flavor. Considered a “black” tomato, Carbon has green/brown shoulders on dark red fruit with meaty texture that is perfect for sandwiches and salads. Plants are vigorous and productive and grow better than most older heirloom beefsteaks. Has a bit of the older heirloom circle fruit cracking and “cat facing”.
