Pulchra is a subspecies of the more widespread Asclepias incarnata (Swamp Milkweed). It represents a specialized variation within the species. Known for their vibrant rose, purple petals, they give the landscape an incredible burst of color when they bloom a little later in the summertime. It can reach the height of 2-4 feet. It has fuzzy more ovate leaves and is lighter green in color. Hummingbirds are drawn to this plant, which also serves as a host plant for monarch and queen butterfly larvae. 2” PLUG
