Flower, Fruit, Fire, and Fun! The Science Behind Open Hearth Cooking

In-Person. For ages 11-13.

How did our ancestors utilize fire to cook and bake? How does a flower turn into a delicious apple? How did we cook anything without electricity? Join us on the hearth of the Crane House & Historic YWCA as we answer these questions and more. Students will learn the science that lies behind everyday cooking while making some delicious homemade applesauce.

Tickets are $35/child. Registration is required in advance. Register here. Registration closes Monday, April 18th at noon.
