Join us in a conversation with Joseph Smith as he discusses first person historic interpretation. Joseph has been a theatrical performer throughout New York City, playing such roles as John Merrick in The Elephant Man, Ty Cobb in Cobb, and Virgil in Dante's Inferno. He decided to take his love of acting and his love of history and bring them together researching and writing as a Performing Artist of Living History. His portrayals bring people from history forward in time in an entertaining and engaging way, serving museums, historical societies, cultural and educational organizations with theatrical performances that support their missions. His passion and mission is to create excitement and curiosity about history by giving voice to stories that celebrate the human spirit.
