Virtual Event.
Grab your mortar and pestle and get ready to make some historic drinks! The Crane House & Historic YWCA spans over 150 years, from the early beginnings of America in the 1700s to the groovy styles of the 1960s. Week Two will focus on early America and what newly freed Americans were eating and drinking at the time.
Each week will feature a Beverage Expert to show you how to make the drinks and tell you a little about the history of beverages. Week Two’s Beverage Expert will be Sam Freeman: Sam has been working in New York City restaurants for the last ten years with a focus on fine dining. Though stationed in the kitchen for the better part of that decade (including four years at Michelin-starred Del Posto), he made a transition to the front of house via a sommelier apprenticeship program at the Grand Award winning The Modern. Sam brings experience training restaurant staff on the stories behind wines, cocktails and spirits and is excited to share his knowledge during the virtual happy hour!
Week Two featured drinks: Mint Julep and Fresh Lemonade!
