The Montclair Historic Preservation Commission is pleased to announce the acceptance of nominations for the 2018 Preservation Awards. Award nominations are now open through April 30, 2018. The 2018 Preservation Awards will be presented at the May monthly meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission; May is also Preservation Month as proclaimed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The Montclair Historic Preservation Commission conducts the Preservation Awards to highlight significant individuals, development projects and other historic preservation activity in the Township of Montclair.

The Preservation Awards are awarded in three categories: Bricks & Mortar Preservation, for preservation and restoration of historic buildings; Preservation Service, for achievement in support of historic preservation; and Preservationist of the Year, recognizing extraordinary contributions to Montclair’s historic preservation. Award nominations are to be submitted to the Department of Planning & Community Development.
