The presentation will feature a slide show of the Historic Upper Montclair Business District chronicling the development of the area from a rural settlement in the 1880s to a burgeoning suburban town in the 1930s. Historical facts, some architectural notes, neighborhood lore, and plenty of “then and now” comparison photos are incorporated. This program was developed by Helen Fallon, Board of Trustee of the Montclair History Center, and Lisanne Renner, Historian of Friends of Anderson Park, and will be presented by Helen Fallon. Free and open to the public. The presentation will follow a short business meeting of the CGHS.
