Work with architect Stephen W. Schwartz of Building Blocks Workshops to visualize Montclair as you’ve never seen it before. With over 60,000 LEGO™ building blocks at their disposal, families select a photograph of a Montclair building to turn into a LEGO™ model. These models are then placed on a 30 x 20 foot map of Montclair. Suitable for families with children ages 5 – 14. Maximum four people per group, with at least one adult per group. There are two sessions: 2:00-4:00 pm and 5:00-7:00 pm. Space is limited to 50 families for each session and a parent or adult must accompany children. This event takes place at the Montclair Art Museum on South Mountain Avenue. Tickets available through the Montclair Art Museum website. Montclair Art Museum members may sign up starting February 3rd. Open registration begins February 10th. Sign up for Session I here and Session II here.
This program is co-presented by the Montclair History Center and the Montclair Art Museum in conjunction with Building Blocks Workshops. This Building Blocks Workshop is designed by Stephen W. Schwartz, AIA Architect of SWS Architects of Livingston, NJ. LEGO is a trademark of the LEGO Group.
