Montclair History Center Trustee Helen Fallon has been invited to present the History of Mills Reservation at the Montclair Bird Club's March 14, 2018 meeting at Union Congregational Church, 176 Cooper Avenue in Montclair. The meeting begins at 7:30 pm with a brief business meeting and the history presentation will begin thereafter. It is open to the general public and free to attend. Tucked away in the midst of suburbia, Mills Reservation is an oasis for hikers and hawks. Helen will explain how it came to be, what italmost came to be, and other historical tidbits, trivia and lore. Her presentation includes peeks at rarely viewed maps and plans, historic documents, and vintage pictures gathered during her research. A member of the Montclair Bird Club will add details on the Club's history and the Hawk Watch.
