The series continues with the HBO hit The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, which explores the medical ethics associated with her cancer cells and the resulting medical breakthroughs that change medicine forever. Lillie Edwards, PhD, a Montclair resident and Professor Emeritus at Drew University, is the program’s moderator. This year, the Montclair History Center is partnering with Montclair Film. It is funded by the New Jersey Historical Commission and administered by the Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs. Admission is free. Light refreshments will be served. Evening program held at Montclair Film's Cinema505 location at 505 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair.
