Discover a world of diverse books for children and young adults

Three decades ago Wade and Cheryl Hudson were parents on a desperate search for children's books that reflected the diversity of Black history, heritage and experiences. Disappointed by the limited number and their unreliable availability, the couple embarked upon a mission: to produce the kind of positive, vibrant Black-interest books they wanted for their own two children. At this month’s Family Day, the Hudsons, owners of Just Us Books and Marimba Books, will talk about their publishing children’s books, lead an interactive program for children and adults, and host a mini-book fair where their books will be available for purchase.  FREE ADMISSION.
